Moving

I know, I know. It's been almost a month since we moved and I haven't even written anything about it. Here's why. I keep having all these ideas about what to write about SINCE we moved, but I knew that I had to post about the move itself before I could post about living in the new house. 

And to be honest, I don't know what to say about moving. Here's the highlights:

1) The night before we moved, the last night in our apartment, we had no water. Of course. They were doing some maintenance on our building and had to cut the water for the night. Good bye  riddance, apartment! 

2) We realized through this process that Matt and I should be on that Hoarder show. I have no idea how we had THAT much stuff stuffed into our tiny apartment. It was kind of amazing, actually, how things seemed to multiply as we took them out to the truck. 

3) We spent our first night as homeowners sleeping in sleeping bags in a totally empty home. We have vaulted ceilings in our bedroom, and our voices echoed so much that we couldn't even understand each other. Oh, the challenges of living in a home much bigger than you're used to... 

4) We are so blessed with friends and family. I've never seen a moving van be unloaded that quickly. I'm not joking when I say that it only took about 20 minutes to unload the entire truck. We're so thankful that we had (so many!) people to help us move. 

5) We're homeowners!!!!
